Joyce G. Armitage

Joyce G. Armitage 76 passed away on Saturday March 25, 2017 at DeKalb Health.  She was born on July 24, 1940 in Montgomery West Virginia to Ernest and Ethel (Kimbler) Fernatt.  She Married Joseph V. Armitage on March 20, 1961 and he preceded in death on January 4, 2000.  Joyce worked many years as a CNA at Betz Nursing Home.  Survivors include three sons Joseph, Thomas, and Vincent Armitage all of Auburn, a daughter and son-in-law Christina (Charles Miller) Miller-Cobbs of Garrett, two sisters Tina Goodwin of Smithers WV and Sheila Dorsey of Fayetteville, WV, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son Wiiliam, three brothers Ray, Roy and Jack Fernatt, and two sisters Carol Rucker and Norma Cook.  Funeral services will be Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 10 AM at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main St., Auburn, visitation will be from 2 to 6 on Tuesday and one hour prior to service.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society or DeKalb County Human Shelter.
