Dixie Anne (Martz) Harris

Dixie Anne Harris, 85, of Waterloo, formerly of Bluffton, died Friday August 5, 2016 at her home. Dixie was born May 15, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard S. and Hester E. Martz. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in a part-time business. She attended Community Christian Church in Bluffton and was also a member of various clubs in Bluffton. Dixie married Robert L. Harris in Bellefontaine, OH on September 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1993. She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Chuck Harris of Bluffton, Michael and Karen Harris of Waterloo and David Harris of Columbia City; sister, Carole G. Hayden of Honeoye Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Christopher Harris, Anthony Harris, Misty Harris, Mark Harris and Shaun Harris; several great grandchildren; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Dick Mitchell of Kodak, TN; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Harris in 1956. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ferncliff Cemetery in Springfield, OH. Memorial donations may be made to Riley Hospital for children.
