Mary F. Bowman

Mary Francis Bowman, 82, of Tremont, ILL, passed away at Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Pekin Manor.

Born April 6, 1935 in Muncie, Indiana to Charles E. and Nola (Allman) Wyne, she married Melvin Bowman on June 6, 1953 in Auburn, Indiana.  He passed away in December of 1986 in Auburn.  She also was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Dianna Bowman.

Surviving are three daughters, Brenda (Larry) Garmon of Tremont, ILL, Elizabeth (Mark) Mehaffey of Antioch, ILL and Teresa (Phillip) Osborne of Winter Garden, Florida; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Kelley of Ft. Wayne, and Kaye (Bill) Warren of Auburn.

Mary was a life member and dedicated server of the Church of the Nazarene.  She was a Bible study leader for Stonecroft ministries in Clermont, Florida.

She had worked for DeKalb County, holding various positions over twenty one years.  She retired in 1998 as the County Auditor.

Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also enjoyed sewing.

Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Auburn Church of the Nazarene 2301 N. Main Street, Auburn. Pastor Doug Thomas will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.  Arrangements by Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn.
