Steven Joe Rynearson Sr.

Steven Joe Rynearson Sr., 80, of Corunna, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Steve was born April 15, 1944 in Auburn. Steve was a 1962 graduate of Waterloo High School. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 86 in Kendallville. Steve had worked at Nucor in Waterloo and was also farmer on his family’s farm. He is survived by his wife, Burtie Rynearson of Corunna; daughter and son-in-law, Tamyra and Phil Jauregui of Waterloo; son and daughter-in-law, Steven Joe Rynearson Jr. and Alison Rynearson of Auburn; grandchildren, Melissa Jauregui, Jessie Jauregui, Ryan Jauregui and Jacob Rynearson; great grandchildren, Finley Osterhout and Aria Osterhout; sister, Janet McNutt of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Irene Rynearson; brothers, Tom Rynearson, Gene Rynearson and Melvin Rynearson; sister, Ann Fry. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. A memorial service for Steve will be held at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 also at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Riley Children’s Health.
