Scott R Combs

Scott “Scooter” Ray Combs, 53, of Garrett, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Scott was born July 21, 1967 in Kendallville, IN, the son of the late Wilber Combs and Ora Lee Cody.  Scott enjoyed country and blue grass music, NASCAR, football, drag racing in Avilla, socializing and haggling on prices of things he wanted to buy.  Scott was adored by all of his “grandchildren”.  Scott was a very skilled woodworker making cabinetry.   Scott is survived by his wife Tammy of Garrett; sons Philip and Travis Combs also of Garrett; brother, Jim Combs of Waterloo and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick Combs. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday December 11, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. at the Altona Town Hall 1312 W. Quincy Street, Garrett, IN. Facemasks and social distancing are required per the Governor’s mandate.
