Sandra Hoyer Obituary

Sandra Sue (Krider) Hoyer, 81, of Ashley, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family. Born on August 5, 1943, in Churubusco, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Eleanor Krider.

Sandra dedicated over 30 years of her life to her work, spending much of her career at Stanadyne in Garrett and Dalton Foundry in Kendallville. Known for her strong work ethic and dedication, she made a lasting impact on her coworkers and community. She loved to care for people and went to school for nursing and became an LPN.

In her free time, Sandra enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including horseback riding, metal detecting, traveling, and caring for her beloved animals. Her warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jack Hoyer of Ashley; daughters, Jamie (Andrew Rister) Edsall of Camden, MI, Jodie (Gary) Martin of Auburn, Jennifer (Wayne) Foy of Cameron, NC, and Jeanel (Rick) Ross of Decatur; her son, James (Michelle Barnes) Helbert of Fort Wayne;  grandchildren, Brandy, Kasey, Halley, Ashley, Tonya, Rachel, Amanda, Cassie, Cortnie, Conner, Carson, Carter, Alexis, Alyssa, Nick, Brittany, and Trevor; and several great grandchildren with one on the way.
