Rozella "Rosie" J Mickelson-Cook

Rozella “Rosie” J. Mickelson-Cook, age 88, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn.

Born on May 2, 1936, in Spencerville, Rosie was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Jane E. Baughman. Rosie was a people person with a warm heart, infectious laughter, and a deep love for children. Known for her vibrant personality and sense of humor, Rosie was truly one-of-a-kind character who brought joy to those around her.

For 30 years, Rosie worked as a dedicated sales consultant for Avon, where she built lasting relationships and touched many lives with her kindness and cheer.

She was a faithful member of Newville Church of Christ, where she found joy in singing in the choir and being part of the church community.

Rosie is survived by her brothers, Floyd Baughman of Wolcottville, and Ralph Baughman Jr. and his wife, Ellen, of Hamilton; step-children, Carol, Glen, and Jean; along with many beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Delmar “Bud” L. Mickelson and Al Cook; her brothers, Robert, Estel, and Leroy Baughman; and her sisters, Bessie Delaughter and Elsie Dickman; step children, Cherie,Tom, Lavoy and Doris.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn.  Art Herrick of Newville Church of Christ will officiate. Rosie will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Newville.
