Rosemary M. Sprunger, 76, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Rosemary was born on May 18, 1948, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, to the late Philip and Phyllis Miller. She grew up in a loving family and graduated from Cole Creek Central High School. She furthered her education by attending Purdue University, where she developed a lifelong passion for the university and its community.

Rosemary dedicated over 19 years of her career as a traffic clerk at the Butler City Court, retiring in 2013. She was known for her meticulous work and her friendly demeanor with colleagues and residents alike. Outside of her professional life, Rosemary was an avid card player who enjoyed the camaraderie of playing Euchre and bridge. She found great peace and joy sitting on her porch, soaking in the beauty of nature, and was often found with a book in hand or knitting and crocheting gifts for loved ones.

A devoted member of the Auburn Church of Christ, Rosemary’s faith was central to her life. She cherished her church community and participated actively in its events and services. Additionally, she was a former Girl Scout leader, helping to guide and inspire young girls for many years. She also enjoyed her time spent at the Butler Public Library, where she could indulge in her love of reading and learning. Above all, Rosemary cherished her family, finding her greatest happiness in the time spent with them.

Rosemary is survived by her sons, Scott (Jessica) Sprunger of New Haven, and Sam (Brienne) Sprunger of Bluffton, Ohio; her brothers, Ed (Becky) Miller of Ligonier, Dave Miller of Spencerville, and William “Mike” Miller of Angola; her sister, Carol (Byron) Cohee of Peru; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Vance. Her family and friends will dearly miss her presence, wisdom, and kindness.
