Ronald P. Tinnick

It is with heavy, heavy hearts that we have to share the loss of our dad Ronald P. Tinnick, aka Capt’n Ron on Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was an amazing dad, Mom Cindy Butler Tinnick, would tell you the best husband, a loving and fun grandpa, a fantastic brother and a great friend to all. He had an enormous heart, always there when anyone ever needed him and never met a stranger. We all know that his family was his first love, with scuba diving as a close second. As heartbroken as we are, we are at peace because he is with Mom, his greatest love. If there is such a thing as an “Ornery Angel” we know heaven just gained one.

He wanted us to just post “Signing off for one last time”, so we compromised. We never miss an opportunity to tell everyone how great of man dad was and always will be. Ron is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Jessica Carender of Fort Wayne and Mel and Adam Nagle of Willoughby, Ohio; a granddaughter, Lucy Grace Carender of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife Cindy Butler Tinnick; and his parents, George and Dorothy Tinnick. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Anne Home & Retirement Community.
