Robert F. Meyer

Robert F. Meyer, 78, of Waterloo, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. Robert was born September 26, 1945 in Canton, Ohio. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Steinaker and received the National Defense Service Medal, Viet-Nam Service Medal, and the Viet-Nam Campaign Medal. He had worked at Bohn Aluminum for 37 years retiring in 2006. He is survived by his wife, Janice Meyer; son, Matthew and Tina Meyer; daughters, Melissa and Chris Smith and Melanie and Travis Merritte; brother, Edward Meyer; sisters, Shirley Kuhns and Jean Stocke; 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mildred Meyer; siblings, Dorothy Ready, Virginia Foraker, Donald Meyer, Naomi Law, Ruth Angelo and Mildred Smith. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. with visitation one hour prior on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the Waterloo Lions Club.
