Phyllis L. Muzzillo, 91, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. Phyllis was born September 19, 1932 in North Manchester, Indiana and raised by her aunt and uncle Hazel and Clarence Keirn in Auburn. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn. Phyllis enjoyed being a military wife and the travels that it took her and her late Louis on. She was also a volunteer at the ACD Museum and loved the history of Auburn. She is survived by a son and his wife, Michael and Karen Muzzillo of Fort Myers, Florida; two daughters and their husbands, Jana and David Rabe of Roy, Washington, and Alison and Michael Heider of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Shanna Orren, David (Jill) Rabe, Jordann (Andrew) Ybanez, Cameron (Jurmeyne) Heider and Braedon Heider; great grandchildren, Jackson, Logan, Ava, Adalyn and Kaylene; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Muzzillo; parents, Gail and Iva Hidy; brothers, Gail Hidy Jr., Bryan Hidy Jack Hidy and Joseph Hidy; sisters, Evelyn Shoudel, Margaret Reid, Myrtle Myers, Elizabeth Weesner, Madeline Bryant, Barbara Prater, Janice Frye and Doris Hidy. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 rom 1-3 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon with visitation one hour prior on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 500 E. Seventh Street, Auburn. Father Mark Enemali will be officiating. Burial will be held in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Auburn. Memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
