Mark David Fettig

Mark David Fettig, 73, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023.  Mark was born on June 15, 1950, in Elwood, Indiana to the late Benedict and Myrna (DeLong) Fettig.

Mark is survived by sisters, Maureen Briones and Laura (Walt) Terlosky and brothers Matthew (Marsha), Jonathan (Kay) and Keith (Janice)

Mark will be missed by his nieces and nephews,  Nicole (Mark), Chris (Sofia), Doug (Erica), Jason (Sarah), Jenna (Darius),  Veronica and Savanna (Ashley).

Mark enjoyed trains, playing his 60’s music on the record player, cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, painting canvases and taking photographs. He took on the role of our family's memory keeper, preserving all our special moments! He was a mischievous jokester, teasing friends and family with that familiar smirk on his face! Though Mark did not have children of his own, he took pride in caring for his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed rocking them and when they got older he was known to give them jalapeños and jokingly say they were pickles!

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Melissa Fettig Pierce and nieces, Joslynn and Angela and his beloved cat, Puff.

A private Celebration of Mark’s life will be held in Elwood, Indiana later this month.
