Keith A. Platter

Keith A. Platter 75, passed away Tuesday June 12, 2018 at Parkview Regional Center.  He was born on May 24, 1943 in Auburn to Sheldon and Beatrice (Harwood) Platter.  Keith served in the U.S. Army and was a 50 year member of the Butler American Legion Post 202.  He owned the Decatur Lumber Company in Decatur, Michigan for ten years.  Keith married Eloise A. Beard on July 18, 1966 in Fremont, Indiana.  Survivors include his wife Eloise Platter of Hamilton; five sons Keith Platter of Auburn, Kevin Platter of Auburn, Kent Platter (Christine Conners) of Hamilton, David Richardson (Jackie) of Auburn, and Michael (Wendy) Richardson of Hamilton; a brother Phillip (Glenda) Platter  of Alabama; a sister Jane (Walter) Henry of Las Vegas; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters Michele Meeks and Carolyn Warnick.  Visitation will be Saturday June 23 from 10 A.M. to Noon at Hamilton Church of Christ, Hamilton, Indiana.  Memorial service will be held at noon Saturday June 23 at the church with Pastor Jeff Alexander officiating.  Preferred memorials are to the Hamilton Church of Christ Building Fund.
