Judy Kay (Baird) Collins, 71, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, with her loving husband, Paul, by her side. She was born on March 30, 1954, in Auburn, Indiana, the daughter of Lyle and Martha (Moughler) Baird.
Judy and Paul were united in marriage on September 26, 1992.
Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. She cherished time spent with her family and especially enjoyed gatherings that brought everyone together. Her warm smile, caring heart, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Collins; her mother, Martha Baird; her daughters, Kimberly (David) Moore and Sharmin (Nicholas) Hutto; her stepdaughter, Kimberly (Ronald) Flower; and her stepson, Phillip (Kassie) Collins. Judy was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Baird, and her sisters, Cathy Hampshire and Colleen Hartman.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 5 p.m., with visitation one hour prior from 4–5 p.m., also at the funeral home. Pastor Rob Barton will officiate.
Memorial donations in Judy’s honor may be made to Hearten House.
Judy will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
