Jean Ann Bond, 78, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Jean was born on April 20, 1946, in Jacksonville, Florida, and was a graduate of Butler High School. She worked for many years at Universal Tool & Stamping in Butler.
Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and raising her children. She had a kind heart and a loving spirit, always putting her loved ones first. She also had a sweet tooth for Queen Anne chocolate-covered cherries and a deep affection for her beloved dog, Fancy.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin D. “Skip” and Tina Egly of Corunna, Dale D. Egly Jr. of Newville, Mick C. and Tracey Egly of Saint Joe, Shane L. and Sue Krafft of Newville, and Shawn L. and Tina Krafft of Newville; her daughter, Lisa W. Durnell of Fort Wayne; her sisters, Kathy L. Bond-Clouse and her husband, Gary Clouse of Avilla and Patty S. Beard of Auburn; as well as 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, two nephews, and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Jean Bond.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. A funeral service will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Butler Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Jean’s honor to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
