James O. Bright

James O. Bright, 60, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Heritage Park in Fort Wayne.

James was born on September 16, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late J.O. and Joan Bright. He is survived by his four children, Andrew (Scarlet) Bright of Texas, Katlyn, Jennifer, and Melinda Bright of New Haven, Indiana. James was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Ann Bright.

James was a proud Chicago sports fan, with the Bears being his favorite team, and enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Bulls. A lover of rock music, James especially loved the band KISS, which brought him much joy over the years. His strong sense of humor always shed light in dark times. James overcame many health obstacles but never let it damper his personality.

A private burial will take place at Gatliff Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa.
