Gerald Allen Lockwood, 81, of Waterloo, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at his home. He was born January 13, 1942 in the home that he passed away in. Gerald married Sandra James on September 18, 1965 at Cedar Lake Church of Christ in Waterloo. Gerald was a United States Army veteran and member of the Garrett American Legion Post 178. He was also a member of the Auburn Moose Lodge #566. He Enjoyed Indiana University Basketball, mowing his lawn and spending time with his grandchildren. Gerald was a dairy farmer at his family farm in Waterloo retiring in 1995. After his retirement, he worked at Midwest Vet Supply delivering supplies to veterinary clinics in the Tri-State area and then had worked at Gibson’s Heating and Plumbing. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lockwood of Waterloo; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Don Helbert of Auburn; grandchildren, Dain Helbert of Defiance, Ohio, Tawney (Jordan) Forrest of Auburn, Ashton Helbert of Auburn, Skyler Lockwood of Auburn and Parker (Jasmine Hoffelder) Lockwood of Fort Wayne; great grandchildren, Denver Forrest, Weston Forrest, Archer Forrest and soon to arrive in December, Micah Lockwood; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Janice Lockwood of Auburn; brother-in-law, Dwight James of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and David Carter of Auburn. He was preceded in death by a son, Sheldon Lockwood; mother, LaVoyle Lockwood; father, Bernard Lockwood; sister, Jeannette Feller; brother-in-law, Carl Feller. Visitation for Gerald will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street Auburn. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Pastor Juli Lejman-Guy will be officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Gerald’s great nephews foundation, The Josh Clifford Memorial Foundation Inc. Burial will be held with military honors in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
