Eileita L (Roop) Miller

Eileita L. Miller, 98, of Auburn, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at her son’s home. Born on September 1, 1926, in Auburn, she was the beloved daughter of the late David and Delcie Roop.

A proud 1945 graduate of Waterloo High School, Eileita went on to work as a buyer for Newberry’s Department Store, where she dedicated over 20 years of service.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Karen Miller of Angola; grandsons, Nick (Sarah Bennett) of Fort Wayne, and Chris (Ana) Squires of Mishawaka; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Calvin Miller; her parents, David and Delcie Roop; her brother, Dorsey Roop; and her sister, Beatrice Farrington.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with additional visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in rural Corunna.
