Dwight L Gilbert

Dwight L. Gilbert, 70, of Garrett, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Parkview Noble Hospital. Born on February 19, 1955, in Garrett, he was the son of the late Robert and Wilma Gilbert.

Dwight dedicated many years of his career to Griffith Rubber Mills in Garrett and previously worked at the Auburn Foundry. Outside of work, he was a passionate collector, especially of knives, and found joy in fishing and camping. He had a deep love for animals and cherished the time spent with them.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Donita D. Gilbert; daughter, Mandy (Steve) Gallaher; and his other children, Chris, Carrie, Alan, and Jamie. He was a proud grandfather to Joseph (Courtney), Sarah, Steven, and Austin, and a great-grandfather to Piper and Paisley.
