Debra K. Bauman, age 72, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Laurels of DeKalb in Butler.
Born on April 26, 1952, in Kendallville, Indiana, Debra was a proud graduate of DeKalb High School. She spent 31 dedicated years working at the Auburn Foundry and later shared her talents as a cook at the DeKalb County Home for six years. Debra was known for her strong work ethic, her kindness, and her deep care for others.
She is survived by her loving brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Terie Bauman of Pleasant Lake; and her sisters, Linda Uehlein of Auburn, Shirley Oviedo of Hamilton, and Cheryl Grube of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Willets, and her father, Raymond Bauman.
A funeral service to celebrate Debra’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn, with visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In honor of Debra’s love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the DeKalb Humane Society. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn at a later date.
