David E. Brown

David E. Brown, 59, of Stroh, died on Wednesday March 4, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.  He was born on October 15, 1960 and grew up in Stroh, Indiana.  He was a graduate of Prairie Heights high school.  

Dave attended Manchester College where he majored in History and Political Science.  He served on the Orland, IN town counsel for 4 years.  He was a good public servant.  

His hobbies included fishing on Turkey Lake with family and travel.  He was an avid collector of Indian relics and was often walking local fields in search of items for his collection.  He had a lot of friends scattered all over Michigan and Ohio would come to our home for weekends of good food, plenty of conversation and laughs. 

Dave held a variety of different jobs over the years, but in more recent years he was a substance abuse counselor at a half-way house in Angola.  He enjoyed helping others.

Dave is survived by his mother, Barbara Brown, Sister Sherry Brown and Brother Charlie Brown of Stroh.  His father Eugene Brown preceded him in death.
