Carole L Reinig

Carole Lynn Reinig, 89, of Wolcottville, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Carole was born on July 10, 1935, in Fort Wayne and was a 1954 graduate of North Side High School.

A loving mother, Carole cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, playing solitaire games on her phone, and having word search battles with her daughter, Vicki.

She is survived by her children: Steve (Shelley) Reinig of Ossian, James (Wilma) Reinig of Ossian, Gary (Kim) Reinig of Rome City, Chris (Tammy) Reinig of Corunna, Charles Reinig of Auburn, Vicki Reddig of Kendallville, and Theresa (Trinity) Day of Wolcottville. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Gephart of Florida, along with 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas V. Reinig; her parents, Hobart and Clara Steward; her sons, Bob Reinig and Denny Reinig; sisters, Ruth Errington, and Mildred Steward; and a brother, Joe Steward.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Clubhouse at Pretty Lake Conservation Club, 4410 S. 890 E., Wolcottville, IN.
