Barbara J. Voirol

Barbara J. Voirol, 83, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Born on July 29, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Barbara was the eldest of six children. She was a graduate of Leo High School. A devoted mother, she dedicated her life to raising her four children and later worked as a teacher’s assistant at Riverdale Elementary School, as well as at Scott’s Food and Pharmacy and Wal-Mart.

Barbara found joy in playing cards with her friends at Hope’s Landing and had a passion for travel. She embarked on three Alaskan cruises and most recently enjoyed an adventure on a Mississippi Riverboat cruise.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Julie) Voirol of Auburn, Roger (Jackie) Voirol of Fremont, Douglas (Sherri) Voirol of Auburn, and Susan (Kenneth) Kasinger of Auburn; their father, Duane Voirol of Auburn; her brothers, Jim (Sharon) Garman, David (Loretta) Garman, and Leo (Julie) Garman, all of Auburn; her sisters, Nancy (Mike) Huth of Garrett and Mary (Gary) Mondor of Auburn; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bonita Garman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Father Drew Curry will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
