Barbara (Moore) Coonrod, 72, of Auburn, a beloved and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, went to Heaven on Friday, November 14, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on March 15, 1953, in Newville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Carson and Nancy Moore.
Known affectionately by her loved ones as “Barbie Girl,” Barbara was truly the life of the party. She was a wonderfully caring woman with a generous spirit and a smile that lit up every room she entered. Barbara was devoted to her family and always placed their needs above her own. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed summers at the Auburn Pool, where she created countless treasured memories with them.
Barbara loved singing and dancing and took great delight in family karaoke nights. In her later years, she worked as a receptionist at Auburn Village, where her warm personality and bright smile brought joy to all who walked through the doors.
She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Coonrod; daughter, Angela Moore; and stepson, Jeremy Coonrod. Her memory will be forever cherished by her eight grandchildren—Erica, Justin, Derek, Kathleen, Dustin, Lacie, Scott, and Ariana—and her ten great-grandchildren: Blaze, Ellis, Lilliana, Nathaniel, Justice, Paisley, Savannah, Zeplin, Sylis, and Oliver. She is also survived by her siblings, Lisa (Ron) Belinsky, Judy (Vic) Lyon, Diana (Joe) Newbauer, and Carson Moore and Tina, along with many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Clint Woods; her parents; her brother, Steve Moore; and her sister, JoEllen Moore.
Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. A celebration of life will follow immediately after the visitation at Roselawn Cemetery in Auburn.
