Albert R Allen

Albert R. Allen, age 84, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, following a life well-lived. Born on August 9, 1940, in White Mills, Kentucky to John Thomas and Belle Allen.

A proud tool and die maker, Albert worked for many years at Rieke, where his skill and dedication were admired by all who worked with him. Outside of work, Albert had a true passion for life. He loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, gardening, or tinkering in his garage. His hands were always busy, whether he was fixing something or creating something new. Albert was a man of simple pleasures, who found joy in family, nature, and the little things in life.

Albert is survived by his children, John (Lorrie) Allen of Hicksville, OH, Tom (Jen) Eulitt of Auburn, IN, and Kenny Allen of Kentucky. He was a loving and proud grandfather to Ashley (Adam) Robertson, Greg Woodward, J.T. Allen, Megan Cover, Corben Eulitt, Amylya Holman, Cohlton Eulitt, Sawyer Eulitt, and Eymber Eulitt, as well as several great-grandchildren. Albert is also survived by his brother, Harley (Jessie) Allen of Kentucky. Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia Allen, earlier this year, and by his son, Jack Allen and daughter in law Susan Allen. He was also preceded by his parents, brothers, Sherman and Cecil Allen, and his sister, Deloris Grimes and Hallie Allen.

Albert’s family was the center of his world, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a service at 6:00 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral and Cremation Services, 502 North Main St., Auburn, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.

Albert will be greatly missed but his legacy of love, hard work, and joy for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
