William “Flash” Wells, 70, of Auburn, died Saturday December 15, 2018 at his home. He was born August 20, 1948 in Jackson, Ohio, the son of Richard O. and Ova Wells. He was a 1966 graduate of Auburn High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University and enjoyed playing golf when he was younger. Survivors include his mother, Ova Wells of Auburn; brothers, Dick Wells of Auburn, David Wells of Auburn and Chip Wells of New Hampshire; sisters, Pat (Bob) Spice of Auburn, Wilma (Dan) Miller of Auburn; Karen (Tony) Baker of Hamilton and Nancy Deardorf of Auburn; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard O. Wells and a nephew, Geoff Miller. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday with visitation one hour prior at Auburn Church of the Nazarene 2301 N. Main Street, Auburn. Rev. Doug Thomas will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-6 pm at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn. Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 97, Auburn. Memorial donations may be made to Pinnington Funeral Home to help with expenses.
