Kenny Brown Obituary

Kenny R. Brown, 65, of Auburn, died Friday February 15, 2019 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Kenny was born September 16, 1953 in Goshen, a son of Kenneth W. and Thelma Brown. Kenny was a machinist for 24 years at Royal Industries in Auburn and had also served on the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department He was a US Army veteran and served as an MP from 1972-1974 and was a member of the Garrett American Legion Post 178.  He helped coach Little League Baseball and AAU Basketball while his children were growing up. Kenny also enjoyed gardening, canning, mushroom hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his dog Coco.. He is survived by his wife, Faith Brown of Auburn; sons, Jason (Marissa) Brown of Auburn, Nate (Jenese) Brown of Auburn and Curtis Chapman of Portland, IN; daughter, Cora (Johnny) Davis of Harlan; brothers, Earl (Pam) Brown of Indianapolis,  and Ben (Judell) Brown of Kendallville; sister, Stacy (Ed) Stump of Wolf Lake; grandchildren, Malek, Leigha, Jayla, Johnny, Peyton and Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth W. and Thelma Brown; a brother, Richard Boehme; sister, Gloria Payton and Carla Hogle. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with visitation one hour prior at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn.  Rev. Zack Brown will be officiating. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Christian Union Cemetery, Garrett. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
