Joy M Baughman

Joy M. Baughman, 89, of Butler, died Monday December 25, 2017 at DeKalb Health. She was born March, 7, 1928 in Hicksville, Ohio. She was a registered nurse and had worked at Betz Nursing Home. Mrs. Baughman was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and participated in the church choir. She is survived by two sons, Leonard Baughman of  Waterloo and Tad Baughman of Butler; four daughters, Melanie Carper of Butler, Melinda Wehrle of Edon, Ohio, Melissa Avila of Fort Wayne, and Lori March of Butler; a half-sister, Susanne Sawvel of Angola; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Baughman; parents, John and Minnie Linton; sister, June Cooper and Marilou Lehnert; and a half-sister, Rose. A memorial service will be held Saturday 10:30 am with visitation one hour prior at Trinity Lutheran Church 1801 N. Main Street Auburn. Rev. Jonathan Nack will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
