John L. Pierson

John L. Pierson, 72, of Corunna, died Saturday July 13, 2019 at his home.  John was born October 12, 1946 in Nancy, France, a son of the late Paul and Marie Pierson. John was a veteran of the United States Army. John had worked at Auburn Gear for 30 years retiring in 2006. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Ivan Mahan of Columbia City; granddaughter, April (Mike) Snyder of Columbia City; great grandchildren, Michael and Alixandria Snyder; sisters, Nancy (Dean) Roby of Fort Wayne and Theresa Younger of Liberty, Texas. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mitch Pierson and Paul Pierson Jr. A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday with visitation two hours prior from 12-2 pm at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. Pastor Steve Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be held in Christian Union Cemetery, Garrett. Memorial donations may be made to DeKalb Humane Society.
