Joan M. Bonecutter, 90, formerly of Butler, died Wednesday December 26, 2018 at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Joan was born May 29, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carmon A. and Susan E. Smith. Joan Married Clarence E. Bonecutter on December 29, 1946 in Butler and he preceded her in death in 2015. Joan had worked as a secretary at Eastside High School in Butler. She was also a member of Butler United Methodist Church. Joan enjoyed traveling and spending winters with her husband in North Fort Myers, Florida. She is survived by her children, Mark and Virginia Bonecutter of Saint Joe, Perry and Caren Bonecutter of Auburn, Deann Munger of Waterloo and Neil and Joanna Bonecutter of Edgerton, Ohio; a brother, Gene Smith of Grand Rapids, Michigan; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Bonecutter; two grandsons, Scott Bonecutter and Neil Bonecutter, Jr.; and one great grandchild, Joneil Bonecutter; A memorial service will be held Saturday January 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Butler United Methodist Church, Butler. . Burial was held in Butler Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
