Jama S. Cassady

Jama S. Cassady, 75, of Auburn, died Tuesday December 18, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Jama was born January 3, 1943 in Auburn and was a graduate of Auburn High School. She was a member of First Christian Church- Disciples of Christ, Auburn. Jama was a licensed Cosmetologist and graduate of Ravenscroft Beauty College. She also was a fragrance Consultant for Dillard’s department store company and was named the fragrance consultant of the year in 1994. Survivors include her son, Tracy Dietrich of Emporia, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly Fairchild of Auburn and Kamala and Sterling  Klink of New Albany; father, Clare “Red” Blickenstaff of Hamilton; mother, Mary Anna Rank of Auburn; sister and brother-in-law, Louanne and John Nugen of Auburn; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Cassady in 2007. A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday with visitation one hour prior at First Christian Church- Disciples of Christ, Auburn. Pastor Tom Cupka and Rev. Dr. Robert Craig will be officiating.   Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
