Grant L. Ulm, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday August 30, 2018 at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne. Grant was born January 9, 1928 in DeKalb County, a son of Robert and Nellie Ulm. Grant was a graduate of Tri State College in Angola and a US Navy Veteran. Grant had worked at Indiana Michigan Power as an Electrical Engineer for 40 years retiring in 1991. Grant was a member of North Highlands Church of Christ in Fort Wayne and a past school board member at DeKalb Eastern School District. Survivors include a daughter, Melonie Hartman of Auburn; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marjory Ulm of Louisville, Colorado; brother, Dwight Ulm of Largo, Florida; grandchildren, Jeff Hartman, Jennifer Seiler and Britta Ulm; great grandchildren, Denton Stayer, Megann Mason, Zack Seiler, Nate Seiler and Luke Seiler; great great grandchildren, Jordan Baker, Taylor Baker and Theodore Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley “Sue” Ulm; brothers, Clare, Reign, Keith, Francis and Buren Ulm; and a sister, Floy Smith. A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. Memorial donations may be made to Golden Years Homestead or Visiting Nurse.
