Alice M. Bauman

Alice M. Bauman, 78, of Garrett, died Tuesday January 2, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born March 13, 1939, in Noble County, the daughter of the late Carl A. and Mabel M. Butler. Mrs. Bauman was a homemaker and was an Avon Cosmetics representative for many years. Mrs. Bauman is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Garrett. Survivors include her husband, James N. Bauman Sr. of Garrett; sons, James N. Bauman Jr. of Avilla and Jeffrey Bauman of Garrett; daughters and son-in-law’s, Ellen and Tony Garn of Burlington, TX, and Delores and Mike Ayala of Garrett; brothers, Carlus Butler of Garrett, Phillip Butler of Wawaka, and Bruce Butler of Syracuse; sisters, Janet Pressler of Goshen, and Ruth Mendenhall of Kendallville; Ten grandchildren: six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday with visitation one hour prior at Zion Lutheran Church 1349 S. Randolph Street, Garrett. Rev. Andrew Yeager officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 3-7 pm at Pinnington Funeral and Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. Burial will be held in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Garrett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Concordia Seminary.
