Shirley N. (Moyer) Parker

Shirley N. (Moyer) Parker, 81, of Auburn, died Thursday September 15, 2016 at DeKalb Health in Auburn. Shirley was born July 19, 1935 in Bluffton, the daughter of the late Darrell and Hazel Neal. Shirley was a lab technician and had worked at hospitals in Garrett and Hicksville. She was a member of the Auburn Presbyterian Church and the women’s circle. Shirley enjoyed crafts, sewing crocheting and flowers. She is survived by her husband, Leland “Lee” Parker of Auburn; son and daughter-in-law, David and Melinda Moyer of Pleasant Lake; two daughters and a sons-in-law, Juli and Tedd Carlson of New Haven and Joni and Ron Ricketts of Knoxville, TN; step son, Randy Parker of Grand Haven, MI; step daughter, Kathleen Hinman of Omaha, NB; brother, Jim Neal of Dallas, TX; sister, Georgiana Becker of Kendallville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert L Moyer in 1995. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with visitation one hour prior at Auburn Presbyterian Church 111 W. 12th Street, Auburn. Rev. Lyle Ewing will be officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. Burial will be held in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville, IN.  Memorial donations may be made to Auburn Presbyterian Church.
