Rudy Schalow

Rudy Schalow, 78, of Auburn, died Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Schalow was born July 27, 1939 in Ticondaroga, NY. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Schalow received his BSEE from Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne, 1964, Summa Cum Laude, MSEE Syracuse University, Syracuse NY, 1966, Ph D, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY 1967, PE, Indiana, registry #13067. Mr. Schalow was owner of Engineering Development & Management for naval avionics projects. Survivors include his wife, Sue Schalow of Auburn; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Greg Erieau of Columbus, OH. He was preceded in death by a son, Martin Schalow in 1987; parents, Rudolph E. Schalow and Dorothy Schalow; sisters, Arlene Nissen, Janet Olson and Karen Collins. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 500 E. Seventh Street, Auburn. Rev. Timothy Wrozek will be officiating.  Visitation will also be held Friday from 4-6 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services 502 N. Main Street, Auburn. Memorials may be directed to Parkview Hospice or Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Burial will be held in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Auburn.
