David Lay, 63, of Butler, died Tuesday March 13, 2018 at his home. David was born March 5, 1955 in Kent, Ohio, the son of the late Paul and Freda Lay. David had worked at Kraft Foods in Kendallville. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Paul and Jessica Lay of Auburn and Andrew Kendall of Butler; a daughter, Hillary Lay of Butler; brothers, Jim Lay of Miamisburg, Ohio, John Lay of Celina, Ohio, Bill Lay of New Albany, Ohio and C. J. Lay of Garrett; sisters, Kristine Kettering of Bloomfield Hill, Michigan, Peggy Bakle of South Bend, Dianne Holland of Fremont, Ohio, Pat Carteaux of New Haven, Janet Minnich of Willshire, Ohio, Laura Snyder of Sydney, Ohio and Carol Byram of Fort Recovery, Ohio; grandchildren, Sage Shaffer, Stefen Lay, Bella Kendall and Liam Kendall. A private service will be held.
